Prophetess of many nations
That's what she's heard
She does believe
That's her calling for the God she serves
But she questions
How does one speak out?
Feeling as if she has low self-esteem
Still figuring what life is all about and what does it mean
How does one speak out?
When her father is a shadow
And her mother's past is gray
Statistics say over and over, she'll be like them one day
How does one speak out?
When she is already defined
And inside she is angry and crying
Cause it keeps getting harder as she keeps trying
How does one speak out?
When he said she was the world
Compromised her promise with God
Now she's just another girl
How does one speak out?
When her grades are too low
She's sent a letter the first semester
Of the consequences and repercussions of not reaching a 3.0
How does one speak out?
When she's ashame
When she said no, she meant no
Now she's in the shower crying out the pain
How does one speak out ?
When there are no words to speak
The feeling is too deep
And all she finds is a pen with dried up ink
How does one speak out ?
She knows she is different
And has to accept it
But wants to be accepted
But constantly feeling rejected
How does one speak out?
When she is told she's passive, too calm, too quiet
Girl raise your pitch just a little bit higher

She walks outside
It begins to rain
She cried out
God, how does one speak in all this pain?
Two hands appeared out the sky
And untied the rope
That was around her throat
See death wanted her dead
But silence kept her alive
Because you can kill the body
But never the soul, the song inside
The rain spoke
How do you speak....
Well sometimes you don't
In silence you can hear
A lover's heart beat

The enemy creep
In silence wisdom, knowledge, understanding seeps
Into an alignment
That's when you find
That pen full of wet ink
To fill the lines of a blank mind
